How will AI change the world? This question—alongside themes of technology, science, and innovation—took center stage at this year’s ITF World Congress, held from May 20–21, 2025, in Antwerp, Belgium. The annual event attracts more than 2,000 high-level professionals from across the globe, making it a key gathering for thought leaders and innovators shaping the future.

With a strong emphasis on cutting-edge technology solutions, it was a natural fit for the TCF team, who oversaw the full technical production of the conference, to integrate and showcase the zactrack SMART system.

The program at ITF World 2025 placed a strong focus on semiconductors and systems, bringing together the most respected voices in the tech industry. The stage welcomed renowned leaders such as Johny Srouji, Senior Vice President of Hardware Technologies at Apple Inc., and Terushi Shimizu, Director and Chairman of Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corp.

In addition to the keynotes and panel discussions, a demo exhibition showcased state-of-the-art technologies and innovative solutions across a wide range of application domains—offering attendees a hands-on experience of the breakthroughs shaping tomorrow’s world.

During the speaker sessions at ITF World 2025, the technical setup featured 9 anchors and an average of 14 active zactrack trackers per session. The flow of each session was dynamic, beginning with quick transitions between two moderators who introduced a keynote speaker. As soon as a keynote speaker was announced and stood up in the hall, a Robe T2 Profile fixture—prepositioned and automatically triggered via zactrack—would guide them to the stage. This seamless tracking allowed for smooth, polished transitions between segments without the need for manual intervention. In addition, keynote speakers had access to a spacious 14 by 12 meter stage, providing ample room for impactful movement and presence.

“Using zactrack in a high-level conference environment like ITF World offered a perfect balance between precision and flexibility. It allowed us to highlight keynote speakers with absolute accuracy, even in dynamic or unscripted moments. In combination with the large LED screens integrated into the stage design, we had no need for full stage lighting and could place visual emphasis precisely where it mattered — on the speaker and their presentation,” states David Smeets, CEO and Project Manager at TCF.

Teaming up with TCF to create a next-level congress setup

For panel discussions, where multiple speakers were on stage but only the moderator wore a tracker, a hybrid approach was used: zactrack handled the key lighting for the tracked speaker, while preset looks and additional fixtures delivered balanced ambient and fill lighting for the rest of the panel. This setup ensured that visual focus remained where it was needed, while maintaining an even, professional look across the stage.

“As showcased by TCF at the ITF World, it’s not just about lighting up the stage, but about creating a space where speakers can truly make the moment their own,” explains Yvonne Bolhar, Marketing Manager at zactrack GmbH.
