What an experience! Stunning lighting effects with an all-weather proof, full 3D tracking system! Thanks to the incredible team around artistic director Lyndon Terracini, director Andy Morton, lighting designer Matthew Marshall and programmer Peter Rubie the opening night of Handa Opera at Sydney Harbour staged a huge success.
Technical director Clif Bothwell orchestrated an extremely complex scenery to perfection. Moving projection screens, burning cars, a balloon on a crane, a multitude of moving lights and artificial snow turned the big outdoor platform into wintry Paris. Artists and items where automatically lighted while performing on stage or flying through the air.
Special thanks to Adrian Riddell from Opera Australia who managed the get-in, installation and programming of zactrack to the harbour stage.
